Our sweet little kitty, Angel, passed over the Rainbow Bridge yesterday. She was 19 years old and in failing health. My heart is bruised and broken and empty. Words are hard to find, so I'll just share some photos of her inspecting my quilts.
Rest in peace, sweet girl. We love you.
Our Miss Angel has been gone several years now . . . I totally understand how broken hearted you feel. Sending long distance hugs of understanding.
ReplyDeleteOh Louise, I am so sorry. It is so hard losing a loved pet... big hugz coming your way...

I’m so sorry you have lost your sweet beloved girl. Sending you love and hugs x
ReplyDeleteOh so sorry and sad for you, they are such faithful companions. Hope you find some comfort in care we are sending and the recollections of 19 rich years.
ReplyDeleteOh, Louise, I’m so sorry to hear about Angel. I know you knew it was coming, but that never makes it any easier, does it? It would be so nice if our fur babies’ life spans more closely matched ours. She was a diligent quilt inspector, and I’m sure she’ll have lots of friends over the Rainbow Bridge. Sending human and furry feline hugs your way! xo
ReplyDeleteLouise, I am sharing tears with you, because I know how much this hurts. Nineteen years. Wow, good parenting.
ReplyDeleteI have always thought that when a kitty goes to the rainbow bridge, they report to the others how their life was. Can you hear her now? "I lived on a boat, and traveled the world, a real sea-faring kitty. I had two servants who always did exactly what I ordered. They literally worshipped me, and why wouldn't they, after all."
I know there is a big empty spot in your boat and in your heart.
So sorry for your loss. May you find solace in remembering the many years of joy Angel brought you.

Oh Louise, I'm so sorry to hear this. It's so heartbreaking to lose a good furbaby. You cared for her well, and took her on many adventures, and I'm sure she loved you both. Sending hugs.
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful photos and great memories. Thank you for sharing. Praying for comfort during this time as you feel the loss.
ReplyDeleteLouise I am so sorry, it is the worst thing about our fur babies that they leave us. Love the pictures of her inspecting all your quilts I don't think I know one quilter who does not have a fur inspector of some sort!!!!
ReplyDeleteStay safe and much love and hugs, Susie xx
I’m so sorry for your loss, Louise. I know first hand your agony. We Are going through this right now. It’s been a torturous week. I will keep thoughts of you close to my heart!
ReplyDeleteMy heart breaks for you. Darn those heart pains and tears we shed when we lose one. Close the memories close and cherish them. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteSuch sweet photos of Angel. My heart goes out to you, Louise. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteWe humans get really attached to our fur babies. I am so sorry for your loss, hugs to both of you. Thank you for sharing so many photos this morning so we can remember right along with you. Take Care Louise.
ReplyDeleteOh Louise, I am so sorry. My heart is aching also. She was such a pretty girl and lived such an adventurous life. Hugs to you.
ReplyDeleteLosing a pet is so hard. Pets fill up such a huge place in our homes and our hearts, and I'm sure you're missing your Angel. The best thing you can do is remember the good times with her. Did she do something cute? or humorously annoying? Did she have a quirk that you can remember fondly? I'm sure there's no other cat like her and I'm so sorry for your loss.
ReplyDeleteLouise, I am so sorry to hear about this. As if this time isn’t difficult enough, to loose your beloved kitty, I am so sorry.
ReplyDeleteI’m so sorry, Louise! Thank you for sharing the photos of Angel being Angel. She’s had so many wonderful, unique adventures (for a kitty) with you for so many years—hugs to you as you remember all the good times, and when your heart lurches in those sudden moments when you realize she’s not there to inspect your projects.
ReplyDeleteSo very sorry to hear of your loss. She had the same soft gray fur as our little Bonnycat who left us two years ago. They do take a piece of our hearts when they cross that bridge.
ReplyDeleteI know how this affects your heart. I lost my beautiful calico Lady D several years ago and it still makes me so sad. Your Angel was well loved and cared for, and she will be greatly missed.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry about your sweet kitty. She blessed your life and your quilts with her presence and purrs. Kitties are a big part if my life too. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteWow! For her to live such a lengthy life is evidence of how well cared for and loved she was. So happy you got to share life with her for so long. What a blessing!

Oh, I'm so sorry. Your cat lived a well-loved life. How lucky she was. And you, lucky to have her in your life. Blessings, Louise. (My cat is 18.)
ReplyDeleteWhat a sad day indeed! I'm so very, very sorry for the loss of your dear Angel. She had the adventure of a lifetime being with you and Sean on your boat. I know you deeply miss her but know that she had a very full, wonderful life with you. My prayers & hugs go out to you as you struggle and deal with this loss over the next several months. Take heart in knowing that she loved y'all as much as y'all loved her & that she is no longer suffering. Thank you for letting us know so we can share in your sorrow.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry, Louise. It's so hard to lose our furry friends. Loved your pictures of Angel and your quilts! Sending you a hug.
ReplyDeleteI'm so very sorry. I would feel the same. I've had dozens of cats during my almost 72 years and miss every one. It seems the older I get the more precious they become to me, and I would be inconsolable if any of my 3 passed away. Hugs and healing to you.
ReplyDeleteI balled like a baby when we lost our cat...she was so old and just wilting away though...but never the less...we miss them. Thinking of you and sending you a virtual hug!!!
ReplyDelete19 years of joy, fur and purrs but one horrid excruciating day and then the aftershocks of that day....I know this all too well. The aftershocks lessen but never completely stop. Angel is with you in spirit and she was oh, so well-loved. Sending love and hugs to you and Sean from afar.
ReplyDeleteLouise, I am sorry to read about the loss of your kitty. How nice to have such a collection of sweet pictures of her. :-)
ReplyDeleteHugs. Losing a fur baby is heart wrenching.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry your loss. Angel looks like she had very discerning taste when it came to her quilt approvals. Hope her favorites for snuggling are good snuggle and comfort for you.
ReplyDeleteOh Louise, I'm so sorry to hear this! I've lost many cats and it never, ever gets any easier. I know exactly how you feel. Hugs to you.
ReplyDeleteOh Louise, how very sad I am today to read that Angel has now crossed over the Rainbow Bridge, haven't read posts over the past few days so only just seen this sad post. I'm sitting here think of yourself and Sean and of course Angel, looking at the photos taken of her over her years with you both with tears streaming down my face, I can barely see the keyboard. Our four legged friends are part of our family and it is such a heart-wrenching time when we have to say goodbye. Sending love and hugs x
